A year later... another Poster for the project contest in my University (see "Project Contest" here in my artwork). It´s not about mechanical things by the way, just projects in general that may benefit people in the (hopefully) near future.
They asked me to continue with the air/flying theme, but I was free to add new twists to it. Here is the finished illustration; I cropped it some above and below. I needed that extra space for the lettering. Enjoy!

Fantastic concept! I adore your designs; they're so fanciful, and I bet a lot of us have, once or twice, thought how cool it would be to fly on a giant paper airplane--I did.

The planet in the background stands out a bit due to its larger, unblended brushstrokes, so maybe it could've been integrated a touch better (or knocked back with a wash of blue or something). Well,anyway, I am just gaga over those air machines.

I like the simplicity of it and the naiveness of the design. There is something almost childlike, innocent and unabashed-the purity and joy of childhood. Damn it, why did we ever have to grow up?
